Maximum Capacity and Seniors in 2010

2010 was a great year for us, one where we were able to renew our commitment to seniors, a group very close to our hearts.
The year started off with a bang by entering into a new partnership with Specialty Care & Specialty Living, where Dr. Palmer was kept very busy giving lectures as well as seminar programs as part of Specialty Care’s Zest for Life Signature Series, BrainergizeTM at their residences across Ontario. Please note that these sessions are also open to the public and will be offered periodically at various Specialty Care locations in 2011, so please contact Specialty Care or contact us to find out more.
The Alzheimer Society of Canada recently conducted an online study of persons aged 45-65 and stated that there was an alarming lack of knowledge about the signs of dementia. This year we would like to focus our efforts on this group, in particular the baby boomers, to help educate them not only on the early signs of dementia but also to share our tried and true techniques and strategies in our three key areas: memory, effective task management and psychological well-being. Knowledge is the key, not only to be able to detect it in others (such as a parent, or even a spouse or friend), but also in ourselves. We truly believe that cognitive enhancement is for everyone, and that the time to start is now, not once dementia has already begun.
We are currently working with younger active seniors, by providing talks and seminars at golf clubs, active living seniors communities and more. Dr. Palmer recently gave a very well-received talk to the Beaver Valley Probus Group and will be running a 6-week seminar series starting in early February at the Thornbury public library in Collingwood, ON.
Contact us today to learn more about our programs for active seniors, or if you would like to schedule us to come present to your group.
